Community Guidelines

Corex is built for college students to share, learn, and connect. To keep the platform safe and useful for everyone, all users must follow these guidelines.

By using Corex, you agree to uphold these standards.

1. Be Respectful

Corex is a shared space. Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated.

• No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind
• No targeting someone based on religion, gender, caste, race, nationality, disability, or identity
• Healthy disagreements are welcome. Personal attacks are not
• This applies equally in public posts, Core feeds, SubCore Chatrooms, QuickAsk, and anonymous interactions

2. Post Only What You Own

You may upload:

• Photos you personally took
• Videos you personally recorded
• Audio you personally created
• Music you personally composed and fully own the rights to

You must NOT upload:

• Commercial songs or music tracks
• Movie or TV show clips
• Audio extracted from Instagram Reels, YouTube, or similar platforms
• Background copyrighted music you do not own
• Any content created by someone else that you do not have explicit legal permission to use

Uploading copyrighted material without permission may result in content removal and account action.

3. No Illegal or Harmful Content

Do not post, share, or promote:

• Illegal activities of any kind
• Pirated software, media, or content
• Explicit or adult content
• Graphic violence or disturbing material
• Content that encourages self-harm or harm to others
• Misinformation or content deliberately meant to mislead

Corex is a college-focused platform. Keep content appropriate.

4. No Impersonation

• Do not pretend to be another student, faculty member, staff, or organization
• Do not create fake accounts or use anonymity to deceive or harass others
• Do not misrepresent your affiliation to gain access to a Core or SubCore you do not belong to

Anonymous posting is a feature misusing it is a violation.

5. No Spam or Promotion Abuse

• Do not flood feeds, Chatrooms, or QuickAsk with repetitive or irrelevant posts
• No fake engagement including bot-generated likes, spam comments, or coordinated manipulation
• No unauthorized commercial promotions or solicitation

Academic events, skill-building opportunities, internships, and Core-related announcements are welcome and encouraged.

6. Chatroom Conduct

Core Chatrooms and SubCore Chatrooms are spaces for healthy discussion and collaboration.

In all Chatrooms and QuickAsk interactions:

• No abusive or offensive language
• No personal attacks on other members
• No sharing of another person's private information without their consent
• No disruptive behavior that derails conversations or degrades the space

QuickAsk anonymity does not grant immunity. Misuse of anonymous features to harass, mislead, or harm others will result in account action.

Corex may monitor chat activity to maintain platform safety.

7. Reporting & Enforcement

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it. Your reports help keep Corex safe for everyone.

Corex reserves the right to:

• Remove content that violates these guidelines
• Issue warnings to users
• Temporarily suspend accounts
• Permanently ban accounts in cases of serious or repeated violations

In severe cases, action may be taken without prior notice.

8. Platform Integrity

Do not attempt to:

• Hack, exploit, or compromise the app or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer any part of the platform
• Bypass access restrictions for Cores or SubCores
• Manipulate rankings, feeds, or engagement systems in any way

Violations of platform integrity will be treated as serious offenses and may result in immediate permanent termination.

9. Remember This

Corex is a community built on trust.

If something wouldn't be appropriate in your college campus, it probably isn't appropriate here.
