Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and Corex (“we”, “us”, or “our”) regarding your access to and use of the Corex application and related services.

By downloading, registering, or using Corex, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All app design, branding, logos, interface elements, source code, and functionality are the property of Corex or used in accordance with applicable licenses.

Users retain full ownership of the original content they upload.

However, by uploading content to Corex, you grant Corex a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content within the platform solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service.

This license ends when your content is deleted from the platform, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.

3. User Representations

By using Corex, you represent and warrant that:

  • All registration information you provide including your Full Name, Username, and Email is accurate and up to date
  • You are legally eligible to use the platform
  • You own or have legal permission to upload any content you share
  • Your content does not violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws

4. User-Generated Content & Media Rules

Corex allows users to upload and share media content across posts, Core and SubCore Chatrooms, and QuickAsk.

You may upload:

  • Photos you personally took
  • Videos you personally recorded
  • Audio recordings you personally created
  • Music you personally composed and fully own the rights to

You must not upload:

  • Commercial songs or music tracks
  • Movie or TV show clips
  • Audio extracted from Instagram Reels, YouTube, or similar platforms
  • Background music you do not own the rights to
  • Any content created by a third party that you do not have explicit legal permission to use

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share on the platform.

Corex reserves the right to remove any content that violates copyright laws, these Terms, or our community guidelines.

Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

5. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Upload content that is abusive, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful
  • Harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate other users
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with platform security or infrastructure
  • Use anonymous features to evade accountability for harmful behavior
  • Use the platform for unauthorized commercial promotion or spam
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or bans

6. Core & SubCore Conduct

By joining a Core or SubCore Chatroom, you agree to:

  • Respect the rules and guidelines of that specific community
  • Only join Cores or SubCores you are legitimately affiliated with or invited to
  • Not misuse anonymous features within Chatrooms or QuickAsk to harass or mislead other members

Note that SubCores are only accessible through their parent Core. Attempting to bypass this access structure is a violation of these Terms.

Corex is not responsible for the conduct of individual Core or SubCore members but reserves the right to intervene when violations are reported or detected.

7. QuickAsk & Ephemeral Content

QuickAsk content is subject to a user-selected expiry timer (1h, 6h, 24h, or 3 days). Once the timer expires, content is removed from public view. However:

  • Corex may retain internal logs for moderation and safety purposes
  • Anonymity within QuickAsk does not exempt users from these Terms
  • Misuse of QuickAsk to spread harmful, false, or harassing content may result in account action

8. Content Moderation and Account Termination

Corex may monitor activity and moderate content to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove any content that violates these Terms or community guidelines
  • Issue warnings to users
  • Temporarily suspend accounts
  • Permanently terminate accounts

In serious cases including threats, harassment, illegal activity, or repeated violations - action may be taken without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

Corex is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

Corex is not responsible for:

  • Content posted or shared by other users
  • Loss or corruption of data beyond our reasonable control
  • Disruptions in service due to maintenance, technical issues, or events outside our control
  • Indirect or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Corex, its team, and its affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses including legal fees arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights

11. Changes to Terms

Corex may update these Terms from time to time as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this document periodically.
